About Me
I love the challenge that marketing and communications pose: the need to be creative with intentionality. This challenge has motivated me to work in content creation for a wide range of organizations, building community through content along the way.
My Story
I’ve always had a creative spark, although 10-year-old me, busy making birthday CDs and doodling designs, had no idea it would one day lead to a passion for marketing. At Skidmore, I discovered just how much I love strategy, storytelling, and bringing ideas to life through thoughtful content.
I’m originally from Marblehead, MA, where you can usually find me on the water with my family, cooking for hours, or dancing around to whatever playlist I’m obsessed with that week. I became a rower entirely by accident, but the sport quickly became a defining part of who I am; shaping my work ethic, my community, and the way I show up in all aspects of my life.
a Rower and a Coach
I found rowing by accident, wandering into a meeting on my first day of high school, and I’ve been hooked ever since. When it came time for college, I knew I wanted a place where I could challenge myself academically while continuing to grow as an athlete. Division III felt like the perfect balance, and Skidmore quickly became home.
As a member of Skidmore Rowing, I’ve discovered a community defined by grit, camaraderie, and genuine support. In May 2025, I was honored to be named the Women’s Teammate of the Year for the 2024–2025 season, an award that reflects how much this team means to me.
Outside of competing, I’ve spent the summers of 2023 and 2024 coaching at the North Shore Maritime Center in Lynn, MA. Working with new rowers and seeing the confidence and connection the sport can spark was profoundly meaningful. Those experiences have shaped my commitment to pursuing work that is purposeful, community-centered, and guided by the same values that drew me to rowing in the first place.
Whether I’m on the water, in the classroom, or building something new, I’m motivated by the idea of making a positive and lasting impact.
Passtime turned into Postcards
beanstock designs began as a creative pastime, a space I carved out beyond academics and rowing. What started as a personal hobby quickly grew into something more as friends, family, and neighbors encouraged me to share my work more widely.
In July 2024, I held my very first postcard sale, setting up a small table outside my house and selling directly to my community. That simple moment marked a turning point. Since then, the project has grown to over 100 original postcard sold, now shared beyond my front steps and onto platforms like Pinterest.
beanstock designs continues to be a creative outlet rooted in curiosity, connection, and the joy of making something meant to be shared.
Late Night Pajama Parties
My love of music started with my very first setlists: the annual birthday CDs I made as a kid. What began as a simple party favor quickly became a full-blown passion; designing the cover art, choosing the perfect track order, and crafting a vibe before I even knew what that meant.
At Skidmore, I had the chance to follow in my mom’s footsteps and host a radio show on WSPN 91.1 FM. In true family tradition, both of our shows have lived in the quietest hours of the night; my first slot aired from 2–3 a.m. on Friday mornings.
Three years later, my show Pajama Party has grown into something distinctly my own. It’s a blend of playful nostalgia and eclectic sound, pairing childhood photos of “young Harper” with playlists that are fun, diverse, and delightfully whimsical.
Music has always been one of the ways I express myself, and Pajama Party has become the perfect place for that creativity to live.
